What's New with Natick Speech & Debate
About Natick Speech & Debate
High school speech and debate teams compete in a variety of individual and small group events focused on public speaking, argumentation, and performance. The events cover a broad spectrum, from congressional and public forum debate to interpretation of literature, impromptu speaking, and dramatic performance. There is truly something for everyone. In all of our events, students develop excellent public speaking skills and have the opportunity to improve in competitions throughout the year.
Participating in a speech and debate tournament, giving a class presentation, or interviewing for a job – all of these are examples of public speaking. We help students develop good speaking skills that can be used not just at speech tournaments, but every time ideas need to be expressed or messages need to be communicated.
Natick Speech & Debate is one of the oldest programs in the state, and is coached by three alumnae of our program; Sarah Donnelly, Joyce Albert, and Amanda Parker.
